As a key member of the sales team, this person is responsible for leading collaboration between engineering, operations, and our customer for standard and custom projects.  Also drives initiatives to increase our win ratio and the efficiencies of sales operations.  This key position will report directly to the Business Developer.

We are looking for high energy, self-motivated team players to join our dynamic welding team! 

Ideal candidates will have previous certification in Gas Metal Arc and Flux Core welding (some Tig experience helpful but not required); must be able to read tape measures and micrometers and have experience in reading/understanding mechanical drawings and tolerances; have the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly; and have the ability to drive forklift and operate material handling equipment safely.

With this position, candidates must be able to read blue prints, both electrical and hydraulic drawings and schematics and/or verbal and written instructions.  Candidates must also have use and knowledge of hand tools, measuring and testing devices, and assembly hardware, and be able to perform self inspection, operation and testing of product assembled. 

Ideal candidates will have an Associate Degree in Maintenance or Electromechanical Technology or at least 2 years previous experience with repair and troubleshooting of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.




LPI, Inc., an Eau Claire, WI based manufacturer, is seeking an individual with leadership skills and multi-tasking abilities to work in a team environment and provide electrical engineering and project management for the design and manufacture of custom personnel lifting equipment from the initial concept stage through manufacturing and final installation and startup at the customer’s facility.

LPI, Inc. is an owned subsidiary of Plank Enterprises, Inc. whose other ownership interests include an industrial/commercial lighting manufacturer (LDPI, Inc.) and a single source contract manufacturer (Pro-Cise, Inc.).  On a consolidated basis, the Plank Enterprises, Inc. family of companies employs about 125 people, currently operates out of one location, and has an established national customer base. 

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year engineering college or university.
  • Have at least 2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Have computer skills to include Solidworks (or similar), FEA Modeling, Microsoft Office, PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.), and a basic understanding of Ethernet or similar networks.
  • Have ability to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills).

Although not a complete listing of job duties, this position will be responsible for project management of multiple projects; design of electrical control and electrical circuit systems; design of PLC controls, programming, and specification of required components; equipment testing; and preparing specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment.
